Day 43 - Hey Over half-way now- middleton
Tan Hill to Middleton -in-Treadsle. About 18 miles. Started at 8.50 and finished at 16.15. Last night Phil camped outside whilst I BB in The Inn, lovely place. One walker I met in previous YHA said pub offers a night on sofa for a tenner. On a gig night, it might b a late one though. Phil did north to south JOGLE back in 1983. Todays walk was tedious. Thanks goodness weather been dry for days otherwise going would have been very boggy. Came off path at beginning as still boggy & guide suggested road route if boggy-which was lovely peaceful & vast. I like the winding single track road in the middle of the moor. Nothing of interest after that. Checked into Teesdale Hotel £30. Town looks interesting & shall investigate XX
