Day 42 - Tan Hill

Hawes to Tan Hill- 16.25 miles. Started at 8.20 finished at 17.00. Booked intoTan Hill Inn- at time of booking i had not realised it is situated 4 miles north of Keld & also at 528m it's the highest pub in England. However they offer pick up and drop off at Keld.
Visited Hardraw 29 m waterfall- Englands highest- access via Green Dragon pub on their private path- £2. The Manager, i felt is in need of some customer service training! -At 9am ish 2 employees waiting to get IN plus me, plus people waiting 4 breakfast! she was Slightly annoyed, 'can't be bothered with u' approach.
Onwards, hike to Great Shunner Fell. Hooked up with Phil, fromLangley, nr Macclesfield. Came into into Thwaite for lunch. Lovely walk into Keld. Keld also has the coast to coast long distance path crossing by. Got rucksack picked up. Lady said it was unusual not to be taking person with bag too, but declined. Took four mile road which runs parallel to path, again she said that was not the norm! Lovely pub which has now been extended. Chicks warming by fire - sofas & food, nothing else around here except back to Yeld- this pub was originally built to serve the menwho worked the coal seams nearby. The Pub also have bands here. i really like this pub XX
