Day 30 - 22 miles- to uttoxeter -it getting serious now
Day 30 - Stafford to Uttoxeter, about 22 miles. Started at 8.40am and finished at 18.30. Joined The Way for the millenium following river Sow and then on to the Staffordshire & Worcestershire canal - barges in abundance - all passing by. Also passed a few fishermen. Path led onto Staffordshire Way. Stopped for lunch in Colton. Had my favourite meal yet again - yorkshire pud, steamed or boiled vegetables, gravy and mint sauce - seemed to have managed that every Sunday so far! At about 1.5miles past Abbots Bromley I lost the trail which was rather annoying as I was surrounded by fields! Managed to find an alternative route out. Checked into the Oldroyd Guest House - £30. Feet a tad achy! xx

Have just caught up on your news from the last few weeks (& last few miles!)
What an amazing adventure - I'm really proud of you. Hey, I make a fuss if I have to walk from the distant end of the carpark at Tescos.
I have been to a few of the places you have been to - I go to Monmouth every year on hols, I've also been to Crediton (Annie used to live there) and of course Glastonbury. It must have been amazin walking over the bridge into Wales. I hope they didnt bloody charge you to get in!
I look forward to hearing about your adventures & I agree with Les, its good to hear any anecdotes & stories too.

Sounds like you're having fun! I've just caught up with you're journey so far - 3 rest days is it? Not bad at all!
Hark at that Mandy moo - I remember she used to drive from hostel 2 to Redding ward when we were all students together! Bloody flattened now.
