day 20!- kymin view- soaked later in day
Redbrook to LLangattock- about 17.5miles. Didn't intend to walk this far but had difficulty finding accommodation. Started at 9.10am, finished at 19.00 -yikes! 2nd day of very warm weather except for last 40mins- when I got very wet. Remains boggy and muddy under foot. Another lovely days walk and it's nice when all the paths are marked clearly and well used. Came across many walkers today. Highlight was Kymin - incredible view of Monmouthshire and beyond Kymin is 700 feet above Monmouth. Walked through the town - got more maps and gortex spray for my boots. Lovely trails through woods, potato field, apple orchard etc. Booked into the Old Rectory Guest House - again the first house I came upon and luckily they had a vancany- looked in a bit of a state - very wet indeed-£30. Apparenly there is a young woman who stayed recenly who is doing this same walk withher dog. and could not had gone any further quite frankily. went to only pub in village- very pleasant- xx
