Day 68 - End of Great Glen

Drumnadrochit to Inverness-14 miles. Last eve walk to Urquhart Castle. Started at 8.40 finished at 15.45. Walked with Ian from Glasgow today. Decided to come off trail & stay on road along shoreline of Loch Ness. Stopped at Clansman hotel for a latte at side of hotel came across an 1 mile forest walk which then led us back on the road. Finally got to Canal - found quirky restaurant for lunch-come antique shop/post office - post office opens 3 days a week at Dochgarroch. Carried on along Caledonian Canal & then River Ness on trail into town. Checked into YHA £15.50. On last stage of walk now & have about 7 days left. 945 miles walked XX
