Drymen to Balmaha -decided to stay another night at Balmaha, got taxi back to Drymen this morning- 8 miles. Started at 9.30 finished at 12.40. Fine drizzle all morning which meant VERY poor visability on top of Conic Hill which is a shame as apparently its a wonderful view of Loch Lomond. Did come across about 5 or 6 16-19 yrs olds who just had jeans and unsuitable jackets, and were quite wet-which made me smile a bit due to them being unprepared for bad weather, but also lovely that they were experiencing this area too. On the plus side -my feet remained completely dry in my fresh pair of boots!
So a welcomed short day, and I took the time to book accommodation for the rest of this trail. The weather turned warm and sunny-in the afternoon, went on a pleasant short boat cruise around nature reserve island. XX
