Day 54 - Wednesday 22nd August union canal

Edinburgh to Linlithgow about 22 miles. Started at 8.30 finished at 18.30. Followed the Union Canal all the way, which was pleasant enough and a warm sunny day too. Stopped at Ratho for lunch on the tow path. Feet really achey today, it was a real effort to walk the last few miles. Not sure the feet like the new boots or vise versa! Unfortunately no accommodation available. Luckily got a taxi to Kilsyth & staying at Nicola's tonight, an ex work colleage - so no rucksack tommorrow. XX
