Day 50 - Saturday 18th August- damp socks

Jedburgh to Melrose. 11 miles. Started at 9.30 finished at 4.30-( late start as hoping to find a dentist open but not on sat)- joined St Cuthbert's Way at New Town St Boswells. Lovely walk over Eldon Hill. Checked into Youth Hostel - £14. Town has pipe band championships on today, which was nice to come across. Hostel has a laundry- thank goodness as I could not bear the smell of my socks any longer!! XX
