Day 38- Monday 6th August 2007 top withens

Hebden Bridge to Lotherdale about 18.5 miles. Started at 8.15 finished at 17.30. However no accomodation at Lotherdale!! The guidebook indicated otherwise. Should have stopped at Cowling 2.5 miles earlier. Got a taxi back. Hooked up with 2 sisters from Netherlands Doreen & Suzanne at the beginning ofthe day. Lovely days walk. Top Withens has a ruin where we had our packed lunch -this is where Emily Bronte may have wrote of Wuthering Heights. Doreen & Suzanne stopped at ponden to camp. Checked into Winter House Barn £23.00.
