Day 26 more bad visibility ! arrived shrewsbury
Day 26 - Myndtown to Shrewsbury, about 17miles. tom dropped me off- lovely to catch up with him.,Walked across the long Mynd ridge but got into poor visibility- shame because it would have been some lovely views. Been thinking about the floods in the west of England this week with crops ruined and peoples homes and businesses suffering - it's a sorry state. A possible alternative route to get north would have been through Tewkesbury & Worcester ( which, as you know have been the worst affected by flooding) Walked across the Port Way and Shropshire Way -but came off Shropshire Way trail after the Long Mynd as the fields were too muddy and waterlogged. The weather did brightened up-Returned to Shropshire Way near town and delightfully found that i was passing the cemetary. Visited Mum's graveside - she has been dead 20 years in June of this year and she would have been 70 years old. It was lovely to be there with my news and thoughts. Started today at 8.30am and finished at 17.15 at town centre. Will rest tomorrow and plan route onwards to get to dove dale. xx

Hi, Marisa,
I've been thinking of you in all this rain. Good to see you're still going well despite it all. Well done!
I was pleased to see you visited the Chalice Well in Glastonbury after we talked about it. I conducted the wedding there on Saturday - it was lovely (and mercifully dry)
