Day 13 of mammoth journey!

Wellington to West Lyng - 16miles. Was hoping for a short day stopping at Creech St.Michael but no accommodation despite looking for poorly signed B&B for over an hour! Followed the Tone river on the West Deane Way into Taunton. Had lunch in town and at last bought a gortex light pac jacket - deposited other jacket in charity shop. Left Taunton via Bridgwater & Taunton Canal. One accomodation full at West Lyng- the lady of BB advised i would not get a taxi this time of night, rang ahead of youth hostel and plenty of room. she suggested a bus- walked a little further then luckily got a bus as no luck with hitch hiking. Got bus into Street, and then taxi to youth hostel. - on the positive note I can leave my bag here tommorrow - so no walking with the heavy bag , horray! Will bus back to West Lyng tomorrow. xx
